Its 4 o’clock in the morning
already Im awake
it’s hard for me to stay asleep
when my hearts about to break
I was lying there beside you
fighting back the tears
have I really been made so blind
by love for all these years
was it really just naivety
to think you could be true
or was everybody else so right
sayin i could not trust you
I should storm back and wake you up
and ask you who she is
I’d kick your ass out of this house
if it wasn’t for the kids
I dont know why I didn’t say
something when she called
instead I just hung up the phone
curled up in bed and bawled
And then when you came home from work
acting like nothings wrong
You sucked me in like that before
last time we played this song
I need some time to understand
to work out what to do
but rest assured whatever it is
will be for me not you
